Groundbreaking and 25-Year Anniversary: Technogel Invests in the Future
At our Berlingerode site, we had two big reasons to celebrate: With a large family event, we marked both our 25th company anniversary and the official groundbreaking for a new state-of-the-art production hall. It was a day full of joy, encounters, and a clear commitment to growth and innovation.
Under sunny skies, our employees and their families enjoyed a relaxed day of fun and celebration. While the children played on the bouncy castle, rode the mechanical bull, or tried their luck at the prize wheel, the adults took the opportunity to enjoy food, drinks, and conversations away from the daily routine. Those looking for a special view of the Technogel site could take a ride up in the aerial ladder of our parent company Ottobock’s fire brigade. Guided tours of our production facilities were also offered and very well received.
In the evening, the celebration continued with our official anniversary party in Duderstadt – a wonderful conclusion to a memorable day.
A Strong Investment in Technology and Growth
With the ceremonial groundbreaking, we are taking a bold step forward. Over the next twelve months, a new production hall will be built – a €10 million investment in our future. The facility will almost double in size, expanding from 5,000 to 9,500 square meters. It will feature cutting-edge, fully automated mixing technology, along with modern logistics and warehousing capabilities. As part of this expansion, we plan to create around ten new jobs.
"The expansion of our production is another milestone in our company’s history," said Managing Director Hans Hermann Dreyling during his address. "With this step, we’re not only increasing our capacity, but also broadening our product portfolio." In addition to our established gel-based products, we will also be manufacturing polyurethane-based liquid components for a wide range of applications—opening new possibilities for our partners and markets.
Well Positioned for the Future
Despite global challenges such as the COVID-19 pandemic, supply chain disruptions, and geopolitical uncertainties, Technogel has remained stable and forward-looking. With an export rate of over 60 percent, our products are now used in more than 50 countries—including in medical applications, hand grips, shoes, armrests, and seals.
Our expansion in Berlingerode is more than just a construction project—it’s a clear sign of where we’re headed: toward innovation, resilience, and long-term success.
